How a Dehumidifying Machine Works

Dehumidifiers remove excess moisture from the ambient air in a room to help speed up the recovery process. It helps prevent molds from growing and the drying process of carpets and other surfaces to be achieved more quickly. Every machine works with the same basic steps.

  1. The machine draws in the warm, wet air with a fan.
  2. The air then passes over a cold surface.
  3. The air cools down so that the moisture within condenses into water.
  4. The water is collected in a tank.
  5. The air is then passed into the heat recovery system.
  6. The temperature of the air is raised by 2 degrees Celsius before the air is released back into the room.
  7. A defrost system dispels ice buildup within the machine.
  8. The machine will automatically turn off when the desired dryness is reached or the tank fills.
